Hello,
Is there an ETA for the Crossrail stations and live train times to appear in the Journey Planner website and API?
Thanks in advance,
Tim

It’s kind of lurkig in Tfl Rail: they’ve already moved Heathrow Connect in there, as well as the previous Liverpool Street-Shenfield section
Hi @TimH
Live arrivals for TfL Rail between Paddington – Heathrow are now available in the API - see Hanwell for example: https://api.tfl.gov.uk/Stoppoint/910GHANWELL/Arrivals
Similarly Journey Planner will return TfL Rail services for journeys involving stations between Paddington – Heathrow (and Liverpool Street – Shenfield).
For subsequent phases of the Elizabeth line launching from December 2018 onwards, we’ll have news closer to the time about timelines.
Hope that helps - let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks
Jacob
Hi Jacob,
Thank you for your reply - that’s very helpful.
You too @nickp
Does TfL Rail also cover Heathrow Express?
If so, is it possible to include/exclude either service from the Journey Planner API results?
Thanks in advance,
Tim
Hi Tim
Does TfL Rail also cover Heathrow Express?
No - Heathrow Express is not operated by TfL and the mode is categorised as National Rail in the API.
There’s a useful summary of the different public transport options to get to/from Heathrow on their website - including TfL Rail, Heathrow Express and the Piccadilly Line.
If so, is it possible to include/exclude either service from the Journey Planner API results?
It is - you can specify the mode in the query, so for example to show only TfL Rail services - https://api.tfl.gov.uk/Journey/JourneyResults/1000174/to/1000105?mode=tflrail
The Swagger documentation for the Journey Planner API should also help: TfL Unified API
Hope that’s useful!
Jacob
Hi There,
What would be the best way to query the arrivals at Chalfont & Latimer for both the Metropolitan and Chiltern service?
https://api.tfl.gov.uk/StopPoint/940GZZLUCAL/arrivals works fine for the Met line
https://api.tfl.gov.uk/StopPoint/910GCHLFNAL/arrivals will not have any results for the Chiltern service. As there is no line information available
Thanks in advance,
Greg
Hi @greglak
Apologies for the slow response.
Currently we don’t have live arrival data for non-TfL train services (such as Chiltern), so you’ll need to use the National Rail Enquiries feed - Darwin - to get those times.
It’s something we’re looking at and when I have an update I’ll loop back around on this thread.
Thanks
Jacob
