Hello! Are there anywhere the historical crowding data by date for London Underground available? I’ve found only the near-real-time data, and data by day of the week and a time span, as well as some aggregated data within one year, but nothing with particular dates (day-month-year).
Welcome @Jetty
The data from the “crowing” API is compiled as 96 15-mintes per TfL station, with one data set per day of the week (0 being quiet and 1.0 being most busy).
https://api.tfl.gov.uk/crowding/$strNaptan?app_key=
If you pick it all up you will find 2,163 rows marked with a TfL station Naptan (940GZZLUxxx or 940GZZDLxxx)
So, basically this data is “Historical Crowding Data” as you requested. Also, this is a per-station metric not a per-network metric.
So, a football match or a pop concert is not reflected in these numbers.
Hi @briantist ! Thank you very much for the reply! Actually, I mentioned this kind of data in my original post. So there is no way to see what the crowding was at a particular station, say, on 25.12.2023 or any other date? Only averaged numbers over many weeks for every day of week?
Hi @briantist , I am completely new to this api part and trying to collect live crowd data for Shepherd’s Bush Market Station. Can u tell me how do I call in my GCP console with primary key I have and station ID
