Piccadilly: missing Hatton Cross to Heathrow Central via Terminal 4
I’m glad I’m not the only one to notice this reoccurring issue. I’ve realised that bus route lines tend to disappear from the system when there is a route alteration (extension or cutback) or a change in operator.
Why does anyone know why this continues to persist exactly? It doesn’t make the Unified API very reliable for querying line information…

We’ve identified an issue with generating the file for bus 521. We’ve manually generated the file for this and hopefully we can get that in this weeks data build. We’ll look to see why the automated generation is not working but we’ll add the manual file in until that’s done.
The E7 is on long term diversion which is scheduled to finish on Monday and the Ruislip High St section should be available after that.
The Piccadilly Line to T4 is currently closed so no timetables are available to generate the stop sequence. Once a service is running on that section, the data should be available.
I’ve been told that the Circle Line is not running to Hammersmith at the moment. I’m trying to find some more details on this and I’ll get back to you.
I have some theories on the duplicate routes, but haven’t had much time to investigate of late. Hopefully as things start to get to the “new normal” I will have some more time to look at that.

I didn’t see any of those in status updates or bus route changes, but will stop flagging them for now. I’ll await the results of your investigations on the other stuff. As I mentioned earlier, the duplication looks as if it relates to route amendments being input as additional routs rather than changes. Still doesn’t excuse the dulpicate numbering, though…
Status updates for buses are not reliable. According to them, the 322 is running normally. According to the Journey Planner Newsletter there is a convoluted long term diversion to get round a closure in Atlantic Road, the road closure being confirmed elsewhere.as having started best part of a fortnight ago.
I have not seen it myself, nor am I likely to, but there does seem to be a distinct lack of joining up.

I see there have been timetable changes for route 55 and N242 as of 15th August 2020: Bus changes - Transport for London
Route 112 is due to be extended at the end of the month, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see this disappear from the feed too.
