Unfortunately not. These items are currently unavailable due to the mitigating actions taken in response to the publicised cyber incident. I can’t comment on the specifics of this at this time, but we’ll let you know once these are due to come back.
Thank you for the updates James!
Out of interest, how is Apple Maps still able to show arrival times for tube stations? Are they using a different API?
Hi. TfL doesn’t have insight into how Apple Maps works, so you’d need to ask Apple to know for sure. However, I suspect they are showing scheduled arrival times based on the timetable data.
At the moment, there is no public API where live Tube arrivals are available. Further updates will be provided in this thread.
(Network Rail’s data feeds are providing live data for the sections of the Bakerloo and District line that run on Network Rail infrastructure… but this is of limited use.)
ok thanks, but are we more talking about days or months :)? This is really unfortunte, as I am using the API for a university project which I have to hand in latest on Monday…
Sorry, but I really can’t provide any kind of timeframe. That said, this is affecting not just open data users but also our own website and app, so it is a very high priority for us.
I’m not sure if it helps at all, but live arrivals are still available for the Elizabeth line, London Overground, DLR, buses, trams and River Bus services. Just not London Underground.
Hello! I am also noticing an empty array being returned for the endpoint /Place/Type/JamCam
Just wondering if this is also affected by the incident mentioned above, or is this a separate issue?
As mentioned by @LeonByford Apple Maps is just showing scheduled times. If times are live they would have a green ‘connection’ symbol next to them. If you tap on the departures a more detailed view is opened, including a textual reference to the source
LineStatus also seems to be stuck on Monday. It doesn’t show the Overground lines, unlike the ‘pre_prod’ example. I’m new to the new feed location, does anyone know if they are normally included?
They are all frozen in time at the moment. I’m trying to get an answer to whether what is currently in the PreProd feed is the final release candidate for London Overground.
As you can imagine, this question is probably far down the list of my colleagues’ workload at the moment.
