Congestion Charge API

But I wanted to find out if there is an API that can be accessed to pay for the congestion charge, instead of going to the official website?

Data update: ULEZ and Congestion Charge boundaries

We have updated the boundary data for the ULEZ and Congestion Charge schemes. The new files are available at http://roads.data.tfl.gov.uk under boundaries/ CC_Boundary_v8_20190526_tab_shape.zip ULEZ_Boundary_20190526.json ULEZ_Boundary_20190526_tab_shape.zip ccz.json

There isn’t a pay API, because I suspect the problem with fake-agency piracy.

The only official way to pay Congestion Charge is through the TfL website or using the Pay to Drive mobile app and we advise against dealing with any 3rd party who offers to pay on your behalf.

@jamesevans how is the likes of Caura app doing it? Also, how have they got access to ULEZ checker if you have discontinued the api?

@ER10N5 - I’m not sure, but they may be using public data from DVLA and making some assumptions or they could have a cut of the legacy datasets we had.

TfL don’t have any official relationship with Caura and the official advice is not to use resellers as the liability is on the driver/keeper of the vehicle. If for whatever reason they don’t pay the charge on your behalf, you will be liable for a PCN.
