Reminder: Sept/Oct 2023 - extended weekend closures on parts of Piccadilly and District lines

Reminder - additional information on Thurs 26 - Sun 29 October District line part closures now added below…

IMPORTANT INFO FOR OPEN DATA USERS: the following extended weekend closures on parts of the Piccadilly and District lines to affect customers in September and October 2023. This should be included in the next Open Data timetable updates.

Between 21:00 on Friday 15 and Sunday 17 September, the District line and Piccadilly line will be part-suspended during essential maintenance work between:

  • District line: Earl’s Court and Ealing Broadway/Richmond
  • Piccadilly line: Hyde Park Corner and Northfields/Uxbridge until Sunday morning, when the closure will reduce to between Hyde Park Corner and Acton Town

The rest of the District and Piccadilly lines will run as normal throughout the weekend and services will resume across both lines on Monday 18 September.

Customers travelling on affected sections of lines on Friday 15 September should complete journeys by 20:30. Customers travelling after 20:30 are advised to plan ahead, check before you travel and allow more time for your journey.

The Central and Metropolitan lines, which connect to some of the areas affected by the closure, will both continue to operate normally and rail replacement bus services will be available.

Customers for Heathrow Airport should use Elizabeth line services.

Further closures are planned on the District line between Thurs 26 and Sun 29 October.
