ok, how about this one…

Bayswater has two platforms, an EB and a WB:

The EB platform runs District EB (woah) and Circle IR:

But apparently District EB goes to Paddington whilst Circle IR goes to Notting Hill Gate?

And the same is true for the WB platform - it supposedly goes to Notting Hill gate on the District line but Paddington on the Circle line.

Is this a quirk of the directions system or another mistake? Looking at Paddington IR and OR are the other way around so I’m inclined to say mistake?

I’d agree that this is another mistake.

Like cars, Tube trains drive on the left, so the outer rail goes clockwise and the inner rail anti-clockwise.

Apart from at Borough and Bank on the Northern Line, between Warren Street and King’s Cross on the Victoria line and White City on the Central Line … where they switch to right hand drive. See also the Ritz Hotel.
