Up-to-date Step-free tube guide XML document

The current XML file as linked to on https://api-portal.tfl.gov.uk/docs is http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/syndication/feeds/step-free-tube-guide.xml.

However it declares a publish time of
<PublishDateTime canonical="2014-08-22T00:00:00Z">Fri,22 Aug 2014 00:00:00</PublishDateTime>

Is this date correct? If so, is there a more up-to-date source for the Step-free guide in an XML or JSON format?

Does not look like the Unified API returns any information about step or gap dimensions.

Thanks
Matt

@mattcalvium You are correct. The LRAD file is from 2014 and is out of date. We are working on a new comprehensive accessibility dataset to replace it but no timescales as yet unfortunately. We will be posting on the forum when we have any news including early sight of the data for feedback. The best current source of accessibility data we have is within the /Journey endpoint but only available within a route query where accessibility options are selected and doesn’t include step and gap dimensions. Out of interest, what are your plans for using this data?

@theochapple Thanks for your response.

I’m currently investigating the TfL Open Data solutions that could contain appropriate data to help people with less visible impairments (such as autism, dementia or anxiety) navigate railway stations independently with the aid of a mobile app.

We have more information about the project at https://calvium.com/calvium-partners-transport-london-tfl-open-inclusion-transport-systems-catapult-following-innovate-uk-funding-win/

Great stuff! So I believe you’re working with our Commercial Innovation team via TSC on the project. Would be great to hear how you get on and also really useful to understand what data is missing from our open data products that would support your solution.
