Walking times not accurate

[Google Maps](google maps waking time)
says it takes 2 minutes to get to this station while tfl api says 8 minutes

How does tfl api calculate the walking duration of a leg?

Stratford Station platform 3A to platform 15, a 30 second walk down a slight of stairs.

Not to google…

This is one of those “can of worms” both TfL and Google don’t seem to want to open!
