What is going on with TfL Bus Stops?

This is the map returned by the TfL website when you search for Northlands Avenue.

(If anyone can provide the 5 digit SMS code for the stop which has the naptan code of 490020271E2 in the Countdown feed which doesn’t exist in Naptan’s data, I’d be grateful.

I’m really not sure what I’m meant to be taking from these maps. Too many stops? Duplication? A particularly nasty rash?

I can 71982 as the SMS code for 490020271E2 but that may well be out-of-date.

BTWE, what happened to the thread on QR codes at stops? Or was I dreaming it all in the heat?
