These are actually a mismatch between what TfL calls them and the local authority in Slough. Our stop name doesn’t match what Slough have input into NaPTAN for this.

We’re trying to get some traction with out-of-boundary authorities on aligning names, but it’s a long old slog.

Westcroft Square (110 etc) looks like a completely new stop from the forthcoming service change from Saturday 12th, replacing Ravenscourt Park, so I would not expect it to be reporting in advance of that - even if it has become operational before 12th.

Returning to route 81, I rode this route on 6 August and took some notes.

The part of the route that is of interest is the bit that lies outside the London boundary, i.e. all stops to the west of Moor Bridge.
Firstly, all the physical stops, except Sutton Lane, have standard Tfl bus stop posts, including the ones in central Slough, i.e. specifically not local authority stops.
The stop posts, the on-board visual display and the audio announcer all agree as to the stop names, but the API does not.
Sutton Lane (between Crown Close and The Toby/High Street Langley) has stops marked on the carriageway and standard Tfl temporary stop signs (4ft high, roundel, stick, lump of concrete or whatever on the bottom). It is missing from the Api /Line/Route/Sequence in both directions, but buses do, in fact stop there (I may have the AtcoCodes for these two stops the wrong way round).
It would appear that the API is picking up the NAPTAN names, whereas your journey-planner-timetables.zip and TNDS both have the names as seen on the stops
Most of the stops have no Stop Code, but I’ve included the info for the ones in Slough that do.

Hi @nickp - thanks for those details. Indeed, this stop is not in the scheduling data we receive from the operator, so it may be an unsanctioned stop by the driver. I’ll ask the bus data team to see what the actual situation is.

I’ve had a response from the team. They advised that the stops were removed due to long-running works on the gyratory there. Now that the stops are back in use, they will get these stops added back into the sequence and a service change published. Once that’s done, the data should update in the various places mentioned above.

Having spent quite a few weekends working in Sutton Lane earlier in the year, I believe there used to be a roundabout at the junction of Sutton Lane and London Road (according to Google SatNav which was always telling me to take the xth exit at this junction) but it’s been removed and replaced with a normal signalled junction. The bus lanes were coned off while the work was being finished IIRC.
